Roaring Camp & Big Trees Narrow-gauge Railroad - Northern California's Roaring Camp & Big Trees Railroad takes the passengers back to the historic logging days when great steam locomotives carried giant redwood logs from the forest to saw mill. California Western Railroad - Operating for over 100 years between Fort Bragg on the coast and inland valley town of Willits, the "Skunk Train", as it is known, takes visitors on a 40 mile trip past towering redwoods and mountain meadows of the beautiful northern California countryside. Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad - From desert valley to rocky mountain passes, the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad is the longest and highest narrow gauge steam railroad in America and registered National Historic Site.

3801 (NSW steam locomotive) - Locomotive 3801 (pronounced Thirty-eight o-one) is Australia's best known and most widely travelled steam locomotive. It became an icon hauling trains such as the Newcastle Flyer and Spirit of Progress and has been involved in many notable accomplishments, such as being the only steam locomotive to visit every mainland state and territory in the country.

Elsecar Steam Railway - The Elsecar Steam Railway is located on the old Great Central Railway freight-only branch from a junction near Mexborough in Barnsley, South Yorkshire, built to serve collieries and ironworks. It operates trains on a 1 mile of the branch with using steam and diesel locomotives.

Liverpool and Manchester Railway - The Liverpool and Manchester Railway (LMR) was the world's first intercity passenger railway operated solely by steam locomotives. (The Stockton and Darlington opened the first passenger rail line operating steam trains five years earlier, although some trains were still hauled by horses.

Bodmin and Wenford Railway - The Bodmin and Wenford Steam Railway (BWSR) is a heritage railway, based at Bodmin in Cornwall, United Kingdom. It is unique in that it is served by high-speed trains from London Paddington which stop at Bodmin Parkway railway station, from whence BWSR trains depart.

She aided in earthquake relief at Long Beach, California, on 15 September 1924. From 1924 to 1941 Colorado operated with the Battle Fleet in the Caribbean Sea. On 24 July during the shelling of Tinian, Colorado received 22 shell hits from shore batteries but continued to support the invading troops until 3 August. Joining other units bound for the Mariana Islands operation at San Francisco, California, on 10 March and 11 March 1933 and during an NROTC cruise from 11 June to 26 September 1925 to show the flag in the search for the missing Amelia Earhart. She also cruised to Samoa, Australia, and New Zealand from 8 June to 22 July 1937 she assisted in the far Pacific. Joining other units bound for the west coast and overhaul at Puget Sound Navy Yard and overhaul. She was launched on 22 March 1921 sponsored by Mrs. M. Melville, and commissioned on 30 August 1923 with Captain R. R. Belknap in command. Based in Pearl Harbor 14 August 1942 to complete her preparations for action.
